I just bought a baby corn today and are going to feed her on monday. I have done many research state that we need to feed them in a seperate tank or sth, is that true? if so,where and why? or just get the pinky into the same room as she usually are?

+ the salesman told me to feed her by using a twiser till the corn eat the pinky off the twiser which unsupport my search on 'just leave the pinky overnight in the tank'.

And are we not supposed to handling with it before the day they eat and 48 hours after ?

please help, I'm confused.
many thanks in advance..........

You don't have to, I guess, but you definitely should. If your snake swallows a wood chip or sand or something, it might get impacted, and that could kill it. Feeding in a separate container like a shoebox is just plain better. Don't feed your mice with tweezers, it doesn't need that. Most corns will take frozen pinkies, but if it doesnt take it, there are other ways to make the pinkie more appetizing. And for putting the pinkie overnight with the snake, just put the pinkie and the corn in a shoebox in the tank. That should fix your problem.

I think you can hold your snake before it eats, unless its nervous and snippy. But you have to leave it 48 hours after to let it digest. If you don't it might regurgitate the pinkie. And you DON'T want half digested mouse in your tank.

I simply feed my snakes in a cleaned out ice cream bucket.. If the snakes don't go for their food right away just take the twisers and throw/push the pinkey in front of the snake :)

Welcome to the site!!!!!!!! There is a lot of information here. Be sure to read the FAQ section in the forums. They answer a lot of questions. There is a search feature that answer many questions also.
There are a lot of great people here. Everybody is always willing to help.

You should feed in a separate container so your snake does not swallow any wood chips or aspen.

I feed all but 2 in seperate containers. The 2 that eat in their viv are problem feeders so the less stress the better. The ones I start in separate containers I put them in the container and add the pinky. I'll hang around to see if they eat with me there, if not, I leave them alone and check them in a few hours. After 5 or 6 feedings, they know their getting fed as soon as I put them in. That is when I attempt feeding with tongs. I just dangle the mouse over their head and 9 times out of 10...bam!! I don't think it helps them eat, but I enjoy it!:grin01:

Welcome to the forum, I see there is no need to add advice, it has already been given.

I'm curious; do you own a cream motley or is it just your nickname?
