Please help - sick hoggy?

Hello,
I've had my four-month old hognose for a week, and so far he hasn't eaten. I wasn't too worried about this, although he does appear to be losing wieght, but now I've noticed that his belly and eyes have gone cloudy, but not the rest of him. I don't know whether or not he's about to shed (I don't know when he last did it, unfortunately), but wouldn't he go cloudy all over if he was? I really need some advice on this, I'm only used to my corn snake so I don't know whether or not I should be worried about my hoggy. I've grown very attached to him in the short time I've known him, and I really don't want to lose the little guy!

He's getting ready to shed. The belly and the eyes are the places that are easiest to see the snake turn blue. Just let him hide till he's ready to shed. He will turn clear again, and you'll think you can't find the shed, but he hasn't done it yet. He'll shed in less than 48 hours after he turns clear.

I agree with Nanci - sounds like he's going into shed. And if you have only had him for a week I wouldn't worry about him not eating, he's prob. stressed out still from the move.

Oh, thanks so much - I was really worried. He's such a cheerful little chap, and I was fretting that I was going to lose him. I'll just give him a wide berth for a while and see how he goes.
