i just got my corn snake about a week ago i can stick my hand in the cage and hold him without him striking at me now but it seems everytime i hold him he poops on me i also read this could be because there scared...is this true?

How many times have you held your new corn since you received him about a week ago? It is recommended that new arrivals be left alone for about a week without any handling to reduce stress and to let them settle into their new home. Many young snakes will poop when picked up due to being scared and stressed. I would highly suggest that you let your new snake settle in before attempting to handle, or even feed him.

thank you ive held him about 3 times since i got him...ill leave him alone for a few days before i handle him again
