Poor hamster! I hate some people.

My Little Sunshine
My sister has a friend, who got a hamster from her sister. Her sister is in the services and she didn't want her hamster anymore. She also didn't have time for the little hamster. But my sister's friend said "I am not going to care. It is just going to starve if it stays here." :nope:
So I am going to her house and pick up the little guy/girl, today. I don't want the little thing starving, because of a selfish and self-centered human.

:uzi:The same person has two kids and another on the way, all have different fathers. The children are 6, and 1. The 6 year old ONLY hits girls at school, is yelled at, called names, and has to change his 1 year old brother. His hair is falling out, and he is really quiet. The 1 year old mostly stays with his dad and grandfather. Both children get called little B's (Not the female dog word), P's (female part), and a lot of other words. She also has locked them in a play room before. She has already been reported, but social services won't do a thing about it. She also only gets new clothes for herself and the kids only have what other people have bought them. She keeps complaining that no one wants to or try to help her. I don't like using the word hate. But I hate her!
:realhot: :angry01: :realhot:
Okay, my rant is over. Phew!

Sounds awful, you are very thoughtful for helping out the hamster. I worked with a lot of folks like this in my previous life as a counselor and unfortunately some are just determined to view themselves as victims who deserve hand out after hand out. I only wish someone could rescue the kids as easily. In my experience with social services, things will have to get a LOT worse for them to step in, and by that time the poor kids will be VERY damaged individuals. Do yourself a favor and take the critter, keep him or find him a loving home and don't get tangled up with this situation. It will lead you to a lot of heartache. Good luck.

I got the hamster. He is a long haired yellow banded Syrian. He had a brand new thing of food, a Super Pet Critter Trail cage, Bedding, and cute little hide. The hide and cage are a bit to small for him. I will post some pictures later. I may find him a home.
And I agree Bethanne, I wish we could rescue the kids like a Hamster or a snake.

Makes me think of my half sister. She just turned 20. Up and decided she wanted to have a baby. So she has one. The baby isn't even 4 months old and she says, "I'm giving it to the father family because it's too stressful." Not to mention she's started snorting pain pills because she says she has headaches. I think it's more like her new man is a pill head. But to top it all off she wants rid of the baby but she bought a new puppy. Instead of all the comments and pictures of her child on facebook it's all about the puppy now. God! I had to rant too. People make me so sick some times!

I don't know but my grandparents are pissed. I was adopted by my grandparents when I was 13. My biological parents never married and split after I was born. I don't have much contact with either of them. I haven't seen or heard from my dad since I was 14. I have a half brother and half sister from my mom and 2 half sisters and 2 half brothers (one dead) from my dad. I'm the eldest of my lovely family lol!

Wow! And I can't blame your Grandparents! I feel bad for those who can't have kids and then there is people similar to our situations just have kids willy nilly.

I know what you mean. It infuriates me so much. I wish I could just slap them in the face and make them see. But even if I could it wouldn't do any good. Over the years I've just tried not to let those things bother me so much and to distance myself from those people. I'd go insane if I didn't.

To late! I am insane already. But I don't let if bother me as much as I used to. I just think "Hey, it will back fire on them someday. Bwhahaha!"

Geez... poor hamster, and unfortunate people. I'm sorry to read this story, as well as your comments, WSH. I really don't understand how some people can do the things that they do. Having children should be considered a blessing, and I can't stomach reading how some parents out there are so selfish, careless, and heartless. I'm just so sorry for the children of situations like this... it takes some incredible strength to overcome.

And to think that people catch flack for loving snakes. There's just not enough love, compassion, and understanding in the world. But good for you for at least saving the hamster. It's a damn shame that the children have less hope, though.

Me and my mother have the same mind when it comes to animals. We couldn't let the hamster starve to death. I can't stand people that let an animal starve to death.

Ditto! And her third baby is a BOY! Her baby shower is the 16th. :awcrap:

I just dont understand people.

My first son was born to a man who hasnt seen him since two days before his first birthday (he turned six in May).
Its like... hes your son why dont you want to come see him?

But it doesnt matter.
The father of my other two babies is his father, and my husband thinks the same way.

There are a few people that ive known in my life of wandering around that... just dont deserve or shouldnt have children.
Everytime i hear of one of those stories my mind gracefully flows over to the "sterilize the a**hole public!"....

Awwwww! :D

Well here is the cage I got FREE with the hamster. Forgot to mention. He came all the from California.

A hide I got FREE, but it is was to small for him!

I gave him a bigger hide. He seems to like it. And that is him sticking his nose out.

It is so sad...

that it is easy to save a hamster, but impossible to do the same for kids. But you do what you can...I just don't understand some people. Glad to hear the hamster is ok, though.

Cute little guy. Just watch he doesn't chew up that plastic. My sister (really my aunt) got a hamster for her two little boys and got a cage just like that. The little devil chewed up the plastic where you can attach tubes and stuff. They got duct tape on it but he chews the tape up and gets out anyway.

It's always amazed me that I need to take several tests, and pay for a license to drive a car, I must purchase a license to fish, take a safety course, pass written exams, and purchase a license for a handgun, and even register for a flippin' library card, but any moron couple with the right body parts can have kids. And then people wonder why I prefer the company of snakes...

Good luck with your new hamster. I hope your family wakes up before these poor kids are permanently damaged. God I hate some people...

After a while, I may move him to a bigger cage more suited to his size and move my Russian Dwarf to the Crittertrail.
