I suppose this could go under breeding or this section but I'll put it here!
At what point do you all pop your hatchlings? I know a BIIIIIG breeder who probes hatchlings right out of the egg but I'm not confident probing anything under 4-5 months or so, so I'm just popping.
I was thinking of letting them have their post hatch shed, popping them then and then offering first feed after that.
Do you think being popped would distress the hatchling too much to focus on eating immediately and it would be better to let them have a day to chill out between being popped and being fed?
I want to get them onto their first feeds as soon as possible but I think it'd be easier on the hatchling to be popped on an empty stomach rather than popping 2 days after a feed...also cuts down the chance of getting crapped on!!!
Well, you have 6 weeks to answer, no hatchlings til then!!!!
