Poseidon bit me!

Poseidon is an anery male snake that was given to me not long ago. This is the second time he has struck at me but this time he drew blood. Now I kind of see why the owner 'couldn't keep him any longer' the funny thing is that I don't blame the snake for biting me. He had to wait until four other snakes ate and I left the thawing feeders kind of near his viv so I'm sure he could smell them and I had the smell on my hands too. He had been cruising around his tank for a couple of days looking for food. I guess that's what you call a strong feeding response? This snake is always looking for food and compared to my other snakes he is much more active. I guess he is still putting on the weight, he was too skinny when I got him. I hope he gets more mellow!

LOL Thats what you get for teasing me dammit!!!!! :devil01:

I'm sure he will when he gets a little more acclimated. And the smell of food around a hungry snake is nothing to joke about. I had a hatchling bite and wrap around my finger and actually try to start swallowing it. Just try to teach good habits...make sure he gets fed outside of his tank so he doesn't have any more excuses.
