When your phone rings, tell Vicki to answer it. You're in soooo much trouble! :grin01:

Ha, I just showed her this thread. She laughed and said Well at least I had my shirt on.

Well that would be me Lori. Sometimes I'm Rico the pool boy, Sometimes I'm Charlie the plumber, and sometimes I'm Harry the voyeuristic neighbor.

Here is my new rack. Pretty simple to create and didn't cost a lot. Everything put together was just around $200.

I bet herpers give the fire marshal nightmares.
Oh, yeah... I had one FM tell me that connecting a heat matt to a temp control device is like having an extension cord... and we're not allowed to have "permanent" extension cords.

BUT, we're allowed to plug into power strips... as long as they're not "daisy-chained".

So you'd rather me NOT control the temps and be a fire hazard that way???

I asked, why can't he look at the rheos and temp controls as power strips instead of as an extension cord. He said it simply doesn't work that way.

Sooooo, whenever we have inspection, I disconnect all the temp controls, and tuck away the plugs for the heat matts and heat cords. Since it is only February or March, it is almost PERFECT weather for the snakes. When inspection is done, I go back and plug them all in again. LOL.

...and I DON'T use extension cords. LOL.

You would think it would be the opposite to prevent the risk of a fire, like requiring temp controls instead of prohibiting them. I would have a real pain in the butt time keeping everything plugged in without using extension cords.

One of our adult corn breeding racks, home made of course!

Here's Kallias exploring his new rack. He kept escaping so we had to put him into a viv.
