I would normally post this in my own little forum but I think that I need a little wider audience. As some of you know my wife recently gave birth to my second beautiful daughter, Hannah. Everythink went fine with the delivery and my little ANgel is doing wonderfully along with her big sister. Unfortunately what I need the thoughts and prayers for are the love of my life, Caroline. She is sitting now up in the ICU unit, suffering from a severe case of Endocarditis. THis is a bacterial infection in her aortic valve. She has been there for three days now. She is hopefully turning a corner now, but still has quite a tough road to haul. I have never been a real god fearing man or particularly religious, but for those that are, please find space in your prayers and thoughts for Caroline. I have never felt such highs and lows in my life. She probably will not need to have any of her valves replaced now, but to see a 28 year old strong healthy woman lying there in a hospitla bed is a sight I would not want anyone to see. Luckily I have the support of my family who live in the area and they have been taking wonderful care of both of my daughters.
What I am really asking for is for anyone that can, just send a prayer that the most wonderful woman in the world can see her newborn and six year old daughter again very soon.

I'm sorry to hear that. She and the rest of the family will certainly be in my thoughts.:)
 
prayers have been said over the heart valve and the entire family during this time. what you have done is the best thing that you could have. not to get "religious" on the forum, but i have quite a few people on my e-mail that this will be "cut/pasted" and sent to. i know a few other members here on the forum that will do the same and probably reply, if they see this thread. please, please keep us updated on your wives condition and give the new one some hugs from her.
 
Ed, you and your family will be in my prayers. I hope Caroline has a speedy recovery so she can be back with her family real soon.
 
I'm not necessarily a religous man, but I'm definitely a family man. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours . . . your daughters need their mother and you need your wife. Stay strong!
