Predicting a hatchlings adult color

Ok so I have spread the addiction my mom and younger siblings want to get a corn now. One variety they are interested in are bubble gum snows or something that keep that pink color throughout its life. Any recommendations on finding one as a hatchling that will stay pink?

A coral/dilute snow should be nice pink animals.. Look for the Neon Snows too ( Stepehn's line ) or even Carol's Bubblegum snows.. Stephen is not wroking with the snows any more, but I think PoppyCorn is.. You can check with Don Soderburg, seems to me had some nice pink snows...

Regards.. Tim of T and J..

As far general morphs go, Hypo Lavenders and Opals are also another option. The opals tend to get more white as they age, but the Hypo Lavenders are renouned for being some of the pinkest snakes around.

I have been interested in the opals but finding one locally might be a bit hard and convincing them to shell out and extra $50 for shipping on their first snake is going to be a little hard. As for Hypo lavs my hypo lav adult is more of a mocha color.

Your best bet is to try and see the parents. Not 100%, but can give a good indication. To be honest, from my experience most snow hatchlings look the same to me (coral, bubblegum, regular, etc). It's only as they grow do their colors start to take shape.

Although Carol has a sub forum here, here's her website. http://www.lowbellyreptiles.com/

E mail her, she may just have something for sale now! You could always get a yearling instead of a hatchling in order to get what you really want, but if you order from someone's established line I'm sure you'll get what you want. Ask to see the parents!
