I picked up this beautiful little Nicaraguan Boa on impulse at the Midwest Reptile Show in Indianapolis. While I wouldnt ever advise an impulse buy, she has certainly been worth it. Her color is gorgeous!

Ive always heard that Nics can be tempermental and biters, but I have never had a single problem with her. She is the calmest snake I have ever handled.

The one funny thing about her is that after she constricts her f/t dinner she will pose for a while, as if she is proud of herself. She then spends 5 minutes trying to decide which end she is going to eat first.

Here is Iris

So pretty and so much like a young boa. They kill their prey forever and then stare at it deciding which end to eat first- always goofy eaters. Watch when she's bigger though they can be temperamental after a meal if you don't leave them alone for awhile. Angry boas even tiny ones are hella scary:)

RosieReal-I named her after those eyes. My fiancee and I both loved them.

Danielle-Does the goofyness go away after a while?
