Quarantine vs Breeding?

So i was wondering about this... I have seen lots of snakes for sale recently on various forums/websites saying things like ' fresh out of brumation, ready to breed' etc. I'm wondering how something like that fits in with the standard 3 month quarantine most people do. Do you shorten your quarantine if buying from a known source/friend? Or do you always quarantine regardless?
I do have a new girl, from a source i have purchased from before, but she will ne quarantined for the full 3 months before i let any of my boys near her.

You can always just outright test for crypto and do a gram stain upon the snake's arrival. I'm not saying that is the only communicable problem, but it's the worst, for cornsnakes. Mites are also bad, not only due to their own actions but as a disease vector.

I brought mine up from brumation 2 weeks ago, but they won't be breeding until April thru June. I prefer to allow the females to come into ovulation (their scales spread apart a bit and they look puffy) before pairing. There's still plenty of time to get their weight back up, and allow for quarantine in my opinion.

You should never assume that just because someone is a "big name" breeder or a friend or whatever that they don't have something going on that they are unaware of. It's always safest to quarantine, and 90 days a good length of time.
