well as most of you know ow my snake has mites i have used nix andthey are all gone but i am still taking percautions.any way the real question is yesterday i tried to feed him and he would not take it i put it in the refrigerator and is is ok to reuse that same pinky?

I certainly wouldn't use the same pink. They cost pennies, just throw it away and get him a new one.

You don't want to be offering him food two consecutive days in a row anyways if he didn't eat the first time. Give him a week or so to get over the stress of being infested and treated for mites and then try him.

I would buy a can of proventamite and spray his entire enclosure. It will do no harm to the snake but you will eradicate those mites. You may think they are gone but all too often one or two eggs are left behind which can cause reinfeststation. Good luck :)

Hi there, I find it highly unlikely that the mites would just disappear without you having done anything. In fact they would or should have actually increased in numbers as eggs are laid and then hatch. Check your snakes again.
As for the pinky issue, it should be alright although I would not advocate the reuse of pinks that have been frozen.

Ciao

Firstly, my apologies for my ignorance, I took nix to mean nothing. After browsing a few more threads I quickly came to the realisation that Nix is a super effective treatment for mites, we need that here in South Africa where the soapy water does the trick. Good luck on the war against mites.

Ciao
