So, according to the corn progeny calculator... since Athena ended up being het for amel and Solis wound up being het for Hypo... it says that some of these amels are supposed to be hypo too... how does one tell the difference? Is there a visual difference, especially since amel masks hypo?

You shouldn't be able to tell the difference. But they said that about hypo snows as well...yet you have coral snows. So I would suppose that it might be possible for a hypo amel to look different...perhaps be brighter or richer in color. But even in coral snows, the color doesn't usually show up until after multiple sheds, if at all.
