Ive got the 6/12 slot juvi/adult sterlite tub rack(1753). Some of my guys need to move up to the larger tubs but up to now Ive used the lids on the small tubs with them. Im afraid to move them to the large tubs because the lids cant be used.
What size or weight should they be to put them into the larger tub without escapes?
Im really paranoid about escapes.

You can always shim the bins with cardboard until you are comfortable with how big the snake is compared to the gap.

I thought about that but although Im really happy with this rack it isnt spot on as far as tub fit. Basically one tub might have a bit more gap on one side then the other or in the back and not the front. I may just need to wait a bit longer to be sure.
Thanks

. . . it isnt spot on as far as tub fit.

I have 4 of those racks, and I've also noticed some variation in how the tubs fit. Actually, at least in my case, it's the height of the tubs that is off, not the rack itself. I've measured the tubs, and there is a slight difference in the height of a few.

I've done what Nanci said, and also be sure that your snakes can't squeeze out through the holes where the lid latches attach. You can leave them on to solve that problem, but it looks kinda hokey. :(
