Its been said not to use dial thermometers but would this Hygrometer be ok for the humidity levels?

I use dial and tape guages, only as back ups. They aren't bad or taboo, but unreliable at best. Here are a couple of digital models you can consider. A little more money, but worth the investment;

I can almost guarantee they have these at your local Walmart, even in Canada.
Around $12
You can't beat it for the money, it's what alot of people on here use.

That one is great, you can hit a button and instead of the time on top, it will display temp of the area that the unit is sitting at...then you just stick the probe on the other side of the tank under the uth and you have temp reading for both ends plus hygrometer!
