PJCReptiles said:We have a couple of Rat Snakes in our collection, a Grey Rat Snake and a Leucistic Texas Rat Snake. Both are very docile as they get handled regularly. Our LTR is probably the most lazy and care free snake we have. The Grey tends to be very much more alert. If you were to approach her from the top she gets into a defensive pose, but never strikes or bites, whereas if you approach her from the side she is more apt to come to your hand to be held. She kind of seems to like being handled.
