I have seen a few breeders suggest a smaller viv for hatchlings, Because of wide open spaces could stress out the little ones. In your opinions do you think this is acceptable or do I need to get a smaller viv?
I have a 20 gallon tank set up I have 3 hides /1 warm side /1 middle of the tank /1 cool side. I have a water bowl in the middle of the tank, and I also plan on putting some branches for climbing. Disinfected branches of course.
I am going to keep him and his deli dish in the tank, but for freedom of him moving around I will keep the lid off and use the dish for his feedings.
I also have covers on the sides of the viv and back, for less exposure.
I have some fake plants in the viv, in theory I am thinking if I put a few decoratoins in the tank I can make less air space. So that it does not seem so wide open terrain.
