ready to shed - Feed?

Just a shot of Mowgli ...when I zoomed in on this I noticed he is ready to shed, does that mean I shouldn't feed him tomorrow?

I wouldn't risk it. Some snakes will actually refuse to eat when they're blue, :eatpointe while others will eat regardless. I personally always wait one day after their shed before feeding them if they're eating every 5th day or just wait until their next feeding day after they shed if they're eating every 7-10 days. Probably silly, but their skin is most vulnerable just after shedding & more likely to absorb things (ie, the chlorine in our water or any minute traces of chemicals in the soap that I was my hands w/.). Better to be safe than sorry. :)

:D What a gorgeous baby, btw...knew there was something that I forgot to tell ya. ;) Thank you so very much for sharing pics.

I think snakes probably have an easier time shedding with an empty belly. Imagine yourself trying to crawl out of your skin after eating a Thanksgiving meal.

Is that a picture that just represents the snake, or is it a picture of the state you found her in? If it's the later, and her eyes are all clear, she should be a day or two away from shedding.

You might as well wait. Another positive to waiting is that you'll be able to have a nice handling session/ photo shoot right after she sheds. If she had a mouse in her stomach, you'd have to be a little more careful with her.

She looks great!
