....Really?! (Regurge Question)

Recently I posted about sizing up Ledger's food items since he appeared to have no visible feeding lump after 24 hours.

On 08/22 I fed him 2 pinkies, which he took with no problems. That was expected as I'm familiar with corns being opportunistic feeders. 5 days after feeding, he regurged both pinkies.

I'm trying not to freak out. I read up on protocol and have just about figured that it would be safe to drop him back down to a single pink, slitted. I was planning on posting for advice on that when my DH realizes the temps in the viv are room temp on each side (72-ish).

So now I have no idea if the regurge happened because the prey was too large or because of a lack of heat for digestion.

DH figures the heating pad was having some kind of issue because after he examined it and moved the cord/plug around a bit it warmed the iv right back up. Temps are back within correct ranges as of this morning. Ledger has been active the last two nights like normal.

I was planning on waiting until the 1st to feed again. Would it be okay to go back to a single pink with slits?

That's what I'd do. I'd probably replace the UTH, too. Unless it was just unplugged. It's nice to have a dual probe thermometer so you can check temps at a glance a couple times a day. I'd probably to one pink, 1.5, 1.5, two. Nutribac would be nice.

Replacing the UTH is definitely in the plans, as is getting some Nutribac. There is a thermometer on each side of the viv as well as the Herpstat probe on the warm side. I don't know why it didn't register to me to check the temps - I can only guess I sort of panicked about the regurge.

Thank you!

I think my own snake regurged from a heating pad malfunction do to a power surge. I put her back to one slit up pink and she seems to have digested it alright.
