recent additions

well i've been anti picture for a couple of years(pretty much anti post/visit too) but things are changing so to start off i'm posting a couple of my recent additions.

first is rex 1.5 yr old, got offered him in a trade and the kids and i fell in love with him.

then i spoiled myself at the fall reptile show and picked up the two little ones.
an evil carpet python (my hand has turned into a bloody pin cushion)
who i think has been names Hadies

and a pretty little girl who has nicely not added to the bloody pin cushion yet.
i'm still trying to decide on a name for her.

one of these days i'll get a bunch of pics of the corns, as some of them have yet to have their pics taken and have been here for 2 years.

Oooo.. they're pretty! Especially snakes 1 and 3. That carpet guy in the middle LOOKS wicked! LOL!

I have a baby rainbow boa girl who is the same way. It amazes me how wide even a baby's mouth can open, and how fast and often she strikes! "Pin cushion" is right! Poor, scared little girl!

i picked the carpet up again today, was nice and quiet......then decided he hated me again and even tried taking a chunk out of my arm to go with the new holes in my hand the goof.

wonder how tomorrow will go, i only handle him for a few minutes a day, he is getting extra attention as the little boa ate last night, and he keeps biting, now if he was nice i'd leave him alone a bit more lol.

And as for that little carpet...they tend to calm down with age. How old is the little one? I've noticed that with mine, he was aggressive when I first brought him home, but after not really touching him until I fed, then leaving him alone after that...so about 3 weeks worth...he is a lot better and trusts me more. More handling will help Is it a Coastal Carpet?

And those Boa's are beautiful! Congrats on all the additions

he is just 4 months old(yesterday) months old, i only picked him up on the 26th.
he's an irian jaya, i know he will settle, i just find him so amusing,


my corns aren't bitey, had a bitey king but she was a latch and chew kinda girl, who always refuses to let go so has to be forceably removed(thankfully she has a new home where they don't mind her chewin for long periods).

thanks for the compliments on them, i had a boa once but ended up moving almost immediately after to a province that has a ban on all boids(including the big dangerous sand boa's) so had to part with her, i was not planning to get boids again so soon but once i got rex i couldn't help myself lol.

aw, is that last boa a hypo, or hog? I would guess hypo, but I'm dying to know if I'm right!

They are all beautiful. My province was looking to ban boas a while back, we had to fight to keep BCI/BCC off the ban list and won : )
But then, there are some cities that ban all boas & pythons, and one nearby city that just banned ALL pet snakes. Oy.

she's anery(supposed to be? i still have much to learn but she looks like the other anery's i saw), but poss hypo/het hypo, came out of triple het moonglow breeding pair.

i don't think pet snake bans should go threw, i can understand limited certain ones like the giants and if they want to be really mean all boids but all snakes? too much.
