Remarkable Behaviour

Velvet

Totally corn crazy!!!!
Hi Everyone!

One of my new corns does the most remarkable thing! I was wondering if anyone else has seen similar behaviour?

Some background: She is a 3month old Caramel het hypo (for what it's worth), I haven't seen any of the others do this before.

What she does: Firstly, I call her my little "boa" because she is always on top of things in her tub, not on the ground. She especially loves slithering along the rim of her waterdish and then slithering upside down on the roof of the tub for as far as she can go without falling down. :)

But the strangest thing that she does is that when I put her f/t pink in there for her, she either slithers along the top of her water dish or her toilet roll and then "attacks" the pink from above, while still hanging off the water dish or toilet roll! She then swallows it upwards, against gravity, whilst still hanging from the top of the dish! :grin01:

Someone suggested that perhaps this was an added adeptation that may have given her the "competitive edge" if she had been hatched in the wild, ie. something she did differently that may give her an advantage over the others in her clutch?

Would be interested to hear your thoughts on this! lol

Meg

PS: She has done this many times so not a once off thing, I tried putting her pink somewhere else but she literally picked it up and moved it so she could attack it from above! lol

How cute! It reminds me of when people photograph their snakes in the feeding bin with the lid open, and the snake goes halfway out and dangles over the edge to swallow. I see those pics all the time!
