Reptile World Serpentarium pics!

Yay Angela! I knew your pics would turn out great. Love that you caught Pete running around the pen. That was awesome and the first time I have seen it.
I did email George a whole bunch of photos last night (from previous trips) and he already forwarded them to the guy hosting the website so hopefully my pics will be published there soon!

I will get working on my shots from yesterday to post for everyone. Don't know how well they are going to turn out since working without a flash in there was killing me!

I forgot the name of this guy!

This is a Cantil, this is the South American version of the copperhead. They are in the Agkistrodon family. We was the ones that went with Crouses Corns last year. That was a neat lil place to go to. Did you notice the guy who owned the place was missing some fingers and his arm was messed up pretty badly?

Great pics!

I've known George for 30 years....

the digits were missing the first time I met him. Lost them to the Eastern Diamondback. ED is his favorite snake as well. Which is ashame; he is highly allergic to the ED venom. It was just a juvie that took his fingers.
The forearm happened in 96. George was bitten during the show by a cobra. He almost died then, three days in the hospital and some 30 something viles of anti-venom.

wow 30 vials of anti venom!! Good grief I couldn't even imagine how scary that was. :puke01: He seemed like a really nice guy! I'd like to go again if we ever make it down that way again.
