Rodent Pro at a show

Has any one ever bought from Rodent Pro at a show or even in general. They are at the All-Ohio shows and I was thinking of buying some then to save the shipping costs. What kind of packing do they come in? will I need to bring a cooler and ice? Any other info? Thanks!
 
I'd bring a cooler and ice, maybe even newspaper to wrap them in. I would buy early and put them in the cooler, or at least have the guy hold them for you if they will. They tend to run out of popular sizes.
 
Yeah, I made a mistake of buying frozen rodents from Zach Shep without anything to cool them with at the STL reptile show, was low on small pinks, so I picked up 200 or so from him, great rodents, but i forgot we were going out to eat after the show, big mess after we got back....
 
hey, i actually bought soem from them at the last show. they sell them in 50 or 100 mice bags, they have a corner in big coolers. i brought a cooler and picked up 100 pinks and 100 fuzzies, and a friend got 50 adults, put them all in the same cooler with a lot of ice. everything was fine besides the fuzzies.. they smell horrible. im not sure if its because they were on the bottom or not. i would open them up and smell them.. im not sure if it was my fault or theirs.

Probably theirs. Sounds about right for RP product.
 
They come in plastic (zip) bags in different amounts (100 for pinks, fuzzies, & hoppers - 50 for weanlings & Adult mice - 25 for Jumbo adult mice - Rats have lesser counts except for pinkies & fuzzies).
You would do well to take a cooler with you. Although they are pretty good about letting you have a small chunk of dry ice, you would do good to bring some ice with you.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt but the one time, that it happened to me, they just took my word for it. Barring certain circumstances, I believe that they, usually, will take your word for it.
 
yeah that'd be great.. i really dont have the money to buy more, my fricken car just broke down. do you go to the shows?
 
I had been buying locally at pet shop but they are very expensive there. Have been paying $4.50 for 3 pack of fuzzies and $3.50 for 3 pack of pinks.

Around here, if purchased individually, f/t pinks are about $1 (or just over $1) each and a six pack, of f/t pinks, is about $10.
Individual fuzzies (live) are almost $2 each (as just a couple of examples).

I'd hate to think what I would have to pay if I could not buy, in bulk, from those who produce/sell feeder rodents as a business.:eek:

That's why I was thinking about Rodent Pro. Fuzzy mice $.19 or 100ct bag for $19.
 
oh i actually have been going to the cleveland show. its closer for me.. i think ill make it to the columbus one some day
 
Hey tsst,

I go to their table as soon as I get there and they leave the bag in the cooler with my name on it until I'm ready to go. They always give me a piece of dry ice when I leave. They sometime run out of certain sizes during the show so you might want to e-mail them, they'll have your bag ready when you get there.
