rolled up shed?

Greetings,

Is this a common occurrence or did our Anery rush his shed because we were watching?

Our Anery shed yesterday and we were fortunate enough to observe it happening.. However, I think it made him uncomfortable and he wiggled out of his skin somewhat hastily. Rather than ending up with a nice inside out shed of skin (like past sheds) he had one where the front 3rd was rolled inside itself. I had a difficult time unrolling it so I could inspect the eye caps. The shed seemed fine otherwise. Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Jason

I've seen some pretty crazy shed's, while the "perfect" one can probably be defined as a complete inside-out one, you will see some broken in sections, some accordian-ized, some scrunched. I think what matters is a complete shed regardless of what's left behind. You should be able to visually tell if the eyecaps are still on without seeing the shed.

Good luck.

Hey Neumann

When my Ball Python sheds, Her skin is always rolled up inside its self but it is always in 1 piece and she never has difficulties with it. However all my corns shed there skin normaly (inside out) in 1 piece. So if i was you, I wouldn't worrie about it:)

Cheers

I see that in the majority of my adult corn sheds. Definately nothing to worry about. They either hang it on something and pull out from it or just undulate and get it off them. Either method seems to work.

I agree....

My baby corn shed like that with the shed all rolled up once. It was tricky unrolling it but it was in one piece. There was definately no problem with Corny! (snake's name, i know its corny but oh well). Nothing to worry about!
