Rosie is growing!

Thanks Alan. It was sheer chance, and using 'sports mode' on the camera, which is the only way to get pictuures of her that aren't blurred!

5 hellish nights in a row at work, so every morning I've de-stressed by taking Rosie out to play with her friends. We had a lovely time today. The Siberian husky Luke is incredibly tolerant of Rosie's ways, she bounces over and under him and yips for his attention.

Rosie has learnt all about sticks this week from copying her friends, but when she kept stealing her friend Izzy's ball she got wrestled and squashed!

Because the weather is cooler, the dogs got to do a lot more running this week without getting too hot. I found this hairy caterpilar, I'll have to try to ID it.

Thanks Carol, Fred! Rosie does have quite a turn of speed when she opens up but gets overexcited and trips over when she's playing with her friends. The informal dog walking group I've met up with are great for her socialisation, with a whole pack of well-adjudsted dogs to play with. Now she's almost 7 months she's getting told off more for bouncing on other dogs' heads, but in a firm but gentle way by her friends.

THis afternoon/ early evening I took Rosie to the country park down where the local river (the Medway) heads into the estuary. She had great fun racing around, chasing seagulls, eating rabbit poop and swimming!
Edited to add; please excuse the wonky shot, I was laughing too much to remember to hold the camera still)

Thanks! Rosie gives me a great excuse to go out and about and enjoy life. It's still a little bitter-sweet taking her the same places I used to take Ellie, but then these are the same places I took our family dogs when I was growing up, and Rosie discovering Ellie's favourite swimming spot and plunging in was so funny!

I have a similar relationship with my dog too, it's all about enjoying each others company. There is really no more peaceful feeling than hiking with my dog, or just watching her life in a way humans can't. It is such an escape, and truly a breath fresh air.
My dog also has a blast in the water, it was so great when she was a puppy because we lived right near a lake. Now all she has is a kiddy pool, and the occasional river swim when I go fishing.

You really are enjoying that pup! It's so nice that you found a dog like that. Rosie looks a little crazy in some of the pics, she sure is energetic.
Keep the pics coming!

Alan, she really is a total joy. She's so happy and her favourite greeting is to (gently) bite my chin and wriggle like a worm while she chews my hair. Rosie is more than a little crazy, she's supercharged madness. I got in tired out from work this morning and had to cradle her and croon a nonsense song before I could sit down to have a drink, which is our regular routine now. Pretty soon I'll have to get her out on her daily run. I've started looking for a little addition, another pup of the same cross because she's turning out to be such a wonderful little dog!

She's beautiful!!! Love the wire coat. Reminds me of my airedales coat. I hope she's easier to train then my airedale was........lol.she was something!
Thanks for sharing pics of her and I can't wait to see future pics of her!.

Here's Rosie in September, rounding up some soldiers marching across our usual walking route!

Rosies don't like leaves! She was very unhappy with the strange crispy things underfoot at first. And here's this morning's walk, playing with her friends.
