Round Two of the Flood

:grin01: :roflmao: Good one. ;)

Great clutch Jenn. Now you need to show us an Avalanche. ;)
Jay

Ask, and you shall receive...

I think we need you to predict all of our clutches and hatch dates for now on... you did such a great job this year! lol...

That's the last of them... all of the eggs have pipped and the counts stand at: 5 Bloods, 3 Granites, 1 Fire, and 1 Avalanche. I will not complain... considering we only had 10 eggs and a 1/16 of a chance of getting that little white nose to appear. :crazy02: :dancer: :crazy02: <--- Can you tell I'm excited???

Here's some other pipping pics:

(yeah, I just had to include that white nose in one more picture! lol)

And guess who came out to greet the world, with attitude I might add:

Again, great clutch Jenn. On another note. Look at the pupil of the Avalanche. It seems to be a little mis-shapen. The reason I am saying anything is I have an Avalanche and the pupils on it are mis-shapen as well. I am wondering if this is due to the genetics involved. Didn't mean to take away from your thread Jenn but it was something that I noticed almost instantly. Either way, it doesn't seem to effect mine in anyway and that is one nice clutch of Corns you and Tim got there.
Jay

I had noticed that too Jay, but like you said, it doesn't seem to effect them. And this one sees me just fine as it ducks back inside the egg when I am standing beside the eggbox.

Oh, and the second granite has left the egg, it has even better diffusion than the first boy. I'll take pictures of it later tonight. Unfortunately, it's another male. But what a male it is... There's one more chance for a female granite, and it's still hiding in the egg. Hopefully it will be out later tonight or first thing tomorrow morning.

Huge congrats Jenn, I've been watching this thread and had my fingers crossed for a Fire and an Avalanche for you guys, I guess I can uncross them now ;)

Can't wait to see the little white nose out of the egg, wonder if it will have the same attitude as the Fire :grin01:

Jenn, is one of the parents one of the Bloods you got from Joe Cala? If so WOW, that's really cool that the possible het Amel proved out for you. I've never reall considered the possible het Amel in my pair from him as a possibility. Also, I suppose because you've proved one out it means I have less chances of mine being het Amel.. . That's still really cool though!

Congrats on the beautiful babies!

Yes, the female is one of three that I got from Joe... and you never know, yours could still be het amel. I just got lucky this time! Could be that the other two I have don't have it at all... =) I really wasn't expecting her to be carrying the amel, but well, I ain't going to complain now. lol

Well, I probably have less chance at finding out than you do. Probably the best way for me to find out if my pair are het for Amel is to breed them to my Snow Stripes. I don't have any Bloods to try to prove them out to though, so that will probably take a back burner. Of course I can breed my pair to each other, but the chance of them BOTH being het Amel...

Like I said I've never really given too much weight before. Now that I see your hot Fires though some thoughts are running through my head. :D

Have they all come out of the eggs yet? :)
Yes, the last two bloods finally came out this morning. I plan on taking group photos of the clutch after I have me a late lunch.

I can see where not having any other bloods might make it hard to test. If you ever do get around to testing them out, even if it is to the snows, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you though. Nothing beats them little red or white noses peeping at you from the eggs when they pip! =)

Here are a handful of group shots of the clutch... minus two of the babies (a blood and the female granite)

The fire kept traveling from picture to picture after those first two... like it wanted to be sure I didn't forget it was there! lol...
