I'm wondering if anyone has a picture of an adult sunkissed diffused stripe? I love the look of the hatchlings. I'm thinking of maybe making that a goal breed to try for once I get into it. But that's a while from now. Anyways, any pictures are well appreciated!

I have a sunkissed stripe at my house right now- actually, the first one. I am not sure if there _is_ a diffused sunkissed stripe, yet. If you search for photos of Daphne, that's her. She started out as an incredible hatchling, (bred by Dr. Mohr) but as an adult, her pattern has blended somewhat into the background (as it does in all cornsnakes). I think if diffused was added to the mix, this would further encourage blending, and you'd end up with a nearly-solid red or orange snake. (Daphne is on breeding loan from Jarrett and Troy).

Oh. Well, I just stumbled across the morph listing on ian's and I looked at a lot. One was a sunkissed diffused stripe? I dunno though. I looked really neat as a hatchling and wondered what the adult looked like.

Even though it is listed as a diffused sunkissed stripe, I think it is only suspected by the owner to actually be one. In an effort to eliminate any guess work, Walter Smith and Rich Hume bred a sunkissed bloodred to a bloodred stripe last year. Since all the hatchlings were homo bloodred, it will eliminate any guess work on whether a Sunkissed bloodred stripe is actually produced.

I think the head pattern would/will allow whoever hatches one to make an educated guess [as to if a diffused stripe is homo sunkissed or not]. I mean, look at Daphne- it's quite apparent. Plus, what sunkissed does to the stripe is unique.

Here, I'll add the picture.

I can't believe that is a real baby. Guess they come in polka dots now...:laugh01: Seriously, pretty amazing and beautiful animal.

We are pretty sure, yes. Tried to test breed him last year to be sure, but the female slugged out so round 2 this year (this week if she sheds :)) I will try an grab an up to date pic over the weekend.

And there you have it! :)
