Strewth if i wanted to live with a stropy teanager i'd move back home.
Have an 08 corn about 9 months old. I did the usuall stuff left her alone the only time i went in her tub that she lived in was to change the towel and water. Moved her into the viv three weeks after wards due to the constant knocking over of water and not wanting to risk her getting ill she ate fine last week wens 3 pinkies (i left her to it) as before when i gave her two she was still hungry so i fed her another and she was fine. So here's my prob, she has loads of hidy holes the temps are perfect (changed at night) i even leave her alone if she aint out (she sleeps for england and yes snakes sleep) even check under her poopy hide (she only poops in one place yay) and that's fine my thing is she gives me verbal lots of verbal (rattles tale and goes into strikeing mode) i have left tops in there to get the my sent i have even left my hand in there when i know she's awake (rarely) and still no joy.
I love my girl ('Rachel' because she's worth it) and i am not expecting miricales but jeez. I know about being patient (Ferret from the bowls of hell when i first got him)
but someone throw me a bone.
Also she is over due a feed by three days but she looks fat (odd shape) she's not going through the blue phase so what do i do.
I know all snakes are different some like to cruse there viv while others just hide that's fine. but i don't even get a look in (even my evil ferret gave me a lookin before trying to take me down).
Hey dude if you've tried every thing else the hocky mask and Holy water might be worth a shot. I have an 08 too an he's still striking me when i pick him up. I'd love to tell you it's because there still only small an it takes time but you said yours is a weird shape? so it might be something to do with that. Any chance you can get a picture up for us to have a look at?
As far as your snake is concerned you are a predator that wants to eat her. You just have to accept that and pick her up; they usually calm down a bit and stop rattling as soon as you have them. Most will just get used to you with age but I did have a devil corn that was guaranteed to bite me every time I opened the container. If you do get bit by a hatchling it most likely will not even break the skin.
When was the last time she ate?
I had a hatchling that hatched out in 2006 that was by far the MEANEST thing I had ever seen! He was so nasty he would strike and hit his face against his cage if I so much as walked by! I used wussy gloves to handle him, for my confidence. In less than a year he morphed into a calm sweet boy who doesn't mind handling at all!

Your 9 month old snake really should be on fuzzies by now. Much more nutritional especially for a bigger and older snake.
For the handling issue... just pick her up whenever. I move hides, dig in aspen, part leaves... whatever it takes to find my snakes when I want to handle them. The majority don't even move when they feel me in there now. They know what's coming and have accepted it. I'm a weird tree that moves a lot. And sometimes has dead mice hanging from my branches. I do have one snake that is *determined* that I'm a predator going to eat her scrawny self. I tend to not handle her as often since not even frequent handling changed her opinion of me. But all she really does is flee like mad, musk everyone, and then try to fly out of my hands.
Thank you every one now that i have finished rotf i tried your suggestions (see all the smart folks above). I put on my best John Wayne impression and went in there, lifting up her log (yay me) and picked her up (sure she's been working out) I have come to the conclusion that i may need more arms. I was told corns are fast and strong but jeez i'm sure i'm gonna feel it in the morning. Thanks for the couple of mins of joy we had (ok I had) she calmed down and toured my arm. Oh as for the weird shape the lamp was on and i could see the shodow of her insides (No i never held her up to the lamp) i think she's gonna powder her nose soon (you know what i mean). After i put her back i gave her a pinkie (still can't watch her eat) she looked at me with the look they give you (what that it) so gave her another. The petshop i brought her form gave me some pinkies then told me that after she has finished those she should be ready to move up. Well she had one pinkie on thursday (i did leave three but she just ate one) so she's had two today then she's gone and crashed out. So as soon as she's awake i'll get some pics. but wycherley Khaman Starsevol Shiari thank you so much for your help.
Beware of over feeding it can lead to regurgitation. Corns are opportunistic eaters and will gorge themselves if given the chance because in the wild they may not get another meal for weeks.
