Shipping adults

Sisuitl

I dig'em!
Hey Rich,

Have a question about the adult sale. I know you are trying to move them out as fast as possible, but I'm worried it's too hot to ship them to Arizona right now. Our temps are between 95 and 105 in the day, is it possible to ship any at this time of the year? Please let me know, I don't have any long distance phone or I would have called and asked. Also, do you know when your cutoff date for them is approximately?

Thanks for your time!

As long as you aren't out in some remote area, it should be OK. I pack the boxes with cold packs when going to a hot part of the country. And FedEx generally will deliver in the morning hours (as long as you are not in a remote area) when the temps will be cooler.

Not sure of the cutoff date on offering the adults, but babies are hatching out now and it should be pretty soon. I will be taking what is left and offering them to a wholesaler to just move all the rest out in bulk. Sorry I can't give you a date. I tend to do things like that on the spur of the moment.

Thanks.

When I lived in Phoenix, I used to just have them hold the box at the FedEx facility for pickup. That way it didn't bump around in a truck at 114 that morning. :)

Mesa, just south of the loop on Country Club.

Spent more time out in Apache Junction riding up in Usery Park, though. :D

I hated it the first year, but acclimated after that. Now I freeze up here in the winter time where before I never got cold...I'm from Iowa. Iowans don't get cold. Imagine my embarassment, now. How can I even face my friends?!? :shrugs: :grin01:

You think it's cold in Iowa (My grandparents were from Iowa BTW, so I know the climate) and Chicago?! Come visit ND for a week or so in mid-winter. You whiners! :)

Heh, here's me fully admitting some pathetic whining. I even get cold in Chicago, now. My heat tolerance has greatly improved, though...except when it's 100% humidity and the A/C isn't working...then I am more than a little crabby. :grin01:

70 and breezy in the Fall is my perfect kind of weather! Not too hot, not too cold, juuuuuuust right . . . especially while sittin' in a tree listening to the squirrels and the whisk whisk of leaves as that big "tirdy pointer" comes walking through the woods. :grin01:

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, tirdy point buck, da tirdy point buck.

I miss that song.

Yeah, I agree, there's nothing quite like a nice cool fall in Iowa, either. I miss not having to live in a city.
