Shipping Questions

Few Questions on Shipping:

Can snakes be shipped in December as long as they have heat packs and there isnt any sort of massive cold wave/snow storm going on??

Im only planning to ship one time so I dont want to go online and order materials to ship them properly, is there a proper way of shipping them with supplies that you can find locally?

Whats the best suggested way to ship adults? I read from a link that they place adults or larger snakes in bags than in the box and the hatchlings in deli cups. Is this suitable especially when shipping more than one adult and 2 hatchlings in one box? Or will I need seperate boxes?

Thanks For all Resposnses
I want to make sure I know the facts before agreeing to ship my snakes.

I know in Canada none of the airlines will ship them between November 1st and March 31 (least.. thats what the airlines said hehe).

When Hunter was shipped to me, he was in a smallish ziploc type disposable tupperware (with a decent amount of substrate), surrounded by crumpled newspaper, then a styrofoam box liner, then the box hehe... and he got here in perfect condition =) (He travelled 1/2 the width of Canada hehe) hes an adult BTW... 2003 =)

blckkat: Thanks For the LINK!! Helps with preparing the box.

But what happens when you have several adults to ship as well as smallar snakes. It would be easier to just pack all at once and ship one box, but are they gonna be injured from one anotehr especially if I place the adults in snake bags?? Ive only had snakes shipped to me once and I felt uneasy about it the whole time. They were both in snake bags tied and placed in a small box with some newspaper in it. They were not in a insulated box and my ball python was under my massive cornsnake when they arrived. Thanks I tryed doing searched on this topic but I just get tons of for slae ads pop up.
