Shot Glass full of Corn

I thought some of these pictures were funny..so I figured I'd share them with everyone. Also put some progression pictures towards the end of some of my 2011's. They are getting so pretty!

These are 2011's that I produced myself. Their parents are a male amber het amel and the female is an anery het amel. (Not all of the ones I kept are shown.)

Also wanted to make the mention: I didn't force the snakes into the shot glasses. What gave me the idea is one of the amels decided while I was attempting to get her placed into this little studio thing...to hide inside one of the shot glasses. After that I sort of just showed the glasses to the smaller snakes and some would cooperate - others didn't and I just didn't use them in the shot glasses. Some were a bit bigger and decided to squeeze in..but none were hurt. They all came out afterwards.

Here's some progression pictures I took today of just two of the 2011 amels:

And the last bit of shot-glass corns:

(The above one was funny. She actually tried to pull in her tail but was unable to do so.)

This one looks awkward only because I had to roll the shot glass since when she went in initially I couldn't get a good shot (there is an ed hardy logo/design on one side)...so that's why she's upside down.

It's the Dracula snake. =)

Okay, this one I DID pose. She did try to fit into one which obviously didn't happen. So I put two shot glasses next to each other and this is what happened next.

He wouldn't have any of it. He just sat on top.

Hope you all enjoy these. They were really fun to do..and like I said, I didn't force any of the snakes to do anything. Most of it they were really curious - or were just trying to hide. And what better place to hide than a shot glass? =P

oh and the picture of the first normals is really neat looking ^-^

Thanks Airidies =)

The normals in the first post are the same one. The other normal I kept from the same clutch has pictures somewhere but those are ones I think I was experimenting with and misplaced (My camera has this neat option of "Live Photo's"..where I can hook it up to the computer and as I'm taking pictures it'll immediately upload them in live view....) them.

Thanks everyone! One of the 2011 amels had given me the idea and I went with it. I actually have an idea for the adult corn snakes..which is to take some of the giant mugs my parents have in the kitchen (big old fashioned metal ones) and see if I can get some of them to cooperate. I'm learning how to properly light glass and metal/shiney surfaces in my Commercial Photo so I want to put all what I've learned to the test. My teacher gave me an idea to get a silky surface too - so now I just have to find a better material than a black towel. =)

Does anyone have any suggestions though? The only lights I have are clamp lights and an external flash source that has a slave function - meaning I can have a strobe in addition to the flash that's on my camera. For those wondering, I'm using a Cannon T2i Rebel DSLR. =)

I will ignore the fact that you have Ed Hardy shot glasses due to the fact that you have corn snakes. No one should have Ed Hardy anything. haha

Thanks again! I'm going to reshoot these again later when I have a silk-type material and maybe with a different lighting technique. It was really fun to do. Just wait until I have the "Mug Shots" done. =)
