ah, I love these threads when they come up.
I only have two snakes.

FinFang's home. There have been a few adjustments, and the addition of a green tiger.

for size reference, he has lots of room to play.

Amel Boy! I could give him 20 hides and he'd still never leave the paper tube.

I keep them on an old desk. FinFang gets bolder near feeding day, amel boy is always hiding.

though it takes away from the looks, it's a good idea to strap those lids down. I had one guy escape a snap on lid sterolite tub and was gone for 3 months before he showed up again.

I use wooden vivariums with sliding front doors. I have two identical ones for my corn and python, and then a huge one for the boa I'm getting. :)

Here's the python hanging about on his. (None of my corn in his viv, sorry.)

carmich132 - try looking in aquarium places. I got an 18" background for my giant snail vivarium in my local pet store. It's doublesided, one side is aquatic but turn it over and there's a jungle on the other side ;)

Wow - what great looking homes!
V - I really like the idea of putting an old papertowl roll in there, what a good hide! Does your snake like it?

If you're asking about my rack they are 33x16x6 inch tubs. What ever that is in quarts. 50?

Yes, I have a large pokemon collection. How a man can marry a sensable woman and be allowed to own 11 snakes and display his pokemon collection? I'll tell you compromise was sure involved.

I have 3 20 gallon reptile tanks sitting in storage right now because I have no room to put them. They housed snakes until I built the rack. I'll probably fill them up with geckos some day but I need a bigger house first.

They both love it. My little guy has been snubbing all other hides in favor of his new fancy aquarium-decoration hide, but he use to like it. And my other one is never anywhere else. They'r nice becuase they span both the hot and cool side (a trick I learned here!)

I work in a print shop, the tubes are actually the rolls our paper comes on. I could stand on those things and they won't bend, and they come up to 61" long.

I used to use paper towel rolls for my snakes, and they love it. I used short toilet roll tubes for a few of my hatchlings and they only left the tube at feeding time!

Here is my new 75 gallon set up that is housing my breeder Bull Snakes. It stays open during breeding season and is seperated in the middle into two sides out of season.

the warm side is on the left. the two tube-like objects are part of a tunnel-like system of cardboard kitchen roll inners which they
(there are two corns in this tank) love to retire to after a hard days loafing about at the cool side (the area on the right).
there is also a tunnel arrangement on that side.

that is a closeup of the coolside. the bowl at the back has a small water pump feeding into it. purely aesthetics,
but they prefer to drink from there rather than their waterbowl :shrugs:
