signs of needing to feed your corn more food.

Lots of good advice here! I'll reiterate my favorite points.

1.5X the girth at the widest part of the snakes body. Don't let the size of the head worry you. He can do it.
This point was confusing to me at first, too. I was looking at his itty bitty head and thinking "no way!" He was being fed two fuzzies when I got him, but after folks saw his pics, they said he was ready for adult mice. I bumped him up to hoppers for a few feedings, and now he's ready to take his first adult tomorrow. Based on the 1.5 x girth size, he's been ready for a while. I just didn't want to bump him up two sizes.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes with a bump.

Another question...

I fed my corns last night as per usual (in their feeding tubs) and then put them back into their homes. Usually they go straight for the hide to digest their meal. Quite oddly, my snow was out and about in her tub. This has never happened before so I'm assuming that she wants more food. I've only just increased to 2 pinkies just over a month ago so can this be right (I've yet to buy some weighing scales)? I've just checked her today and she still has a lump in her belly, though it is rather small now. Shall I increase to 3 pinkies next week and then 1 fuzzy after her next shed?

It's quite normal for snakes to hunt around for more food in their viv after being fed. It isn't necessarily a sign of being hungry, just Nature telling them to stock up as much as possible before going to digest.

OK. It's just that I've never seen her do that before. She was roaming around for an hour while my other corn just went back to his hide. They both roam around in their feeding tubs but never use to roam in their vivs just after being fed.

I'll check on her in a few hours and I'll have a look at her belly again (when a proper 24-hour-post-feed has past). I don't want to power feed her unintentionally...

I have a Classic Corn that had been fed one 2g pinky the past two times she was fed. The lump is totally gone within 24 hours, and she's very active as well, after the lump goes away. But my delema to feeding her two 2g pinkies is according to the Munson Plan she isn't ready yet. She is supposily 4-5 months old. I just measured her and she's 13-14 inches and weighs 8g.
~*-When they're on single pinks (2-3g), I feed every 5-6 days. (Snake = 4-15g)
-Double pinks (3g x 2) every 5-6 days. (Snake = 16-23g)
