Siri x Cayenne clutch pipping!

Murphy's Guinea Pig
Woke up to a pip this morning! This fellow's siblings are still sleepy, but this guy wanted out! Bloodred het pied p/h hypo x hypo bloodred unknown het pairing.

One of the first things I saw this morning. Was before my coffee, so I had to go back and double check I wasn't still half asleep!

Exploring. Bad cell phone pic. I scared the crap out of the poor guy with my iPhone.

Waiting on his siblings to hatch!

Baby #1 has finally decided to show herself. Little hellion decided to take a nice chomp out of my hand when I transferred her over to her baby bin. I'll be holding back a female from this clutch, but I'm hoping for a better temperament on her sisters.

Babies #2 and 3 are pipping right now, with #2 partially out. I really can't wait to see these little ones after they've had their first sheds!

Babies 2 and 3 are out. Baby 2 has great diffusion and temperament. Hoping for female! Baby 3 is a hateling. Have #4 pipping and #5 has decided to be a lazy baby and is still in the egg.

Sadly, Baby #5 had to be euthanized with a spinal kink near the vent and prolapsed hemis. :( But the remaining four balls of hatred are doing well. They've eaten once on their own, shed, and are all weighing in at 6g except for Baby #1 (5g). It looks like I have 1.3, but I'm waiting to call a "most likely" on the three ladies until I have a second pair of hands to help me sex. Baby #2 is definitely a boy.

This is Baby #4, and my probable holdback. She has the nicest temperament out of the group, the brightest red, and odd pale patches along her sides. She's also has the nicest diffusion out of the group. I took some photos of the pale patches. They don't look like pied markings to me, but I thought they were neat anyway. I need a name for her!
