Snake Can't find heat?

Tonight is the first cold night here in San Diego, and my snake is on the cold side still. I held him, and he felt kind of cool. When I put him back in, i put him on the hot side, and he left to go to the cold side after a bit.

My probe is over the UTH and it's 84 degrees.

What do I do?

P.s. I have never witnessed my corn directly over the heater..
 
I live in San Diego too and some of my babies stay by the heater, but the majority of them don't... Don't worry if your snake gets cold he will venture over to the warm side... :)
 
If the snake is room temperature, say 75F, and your skin is 91F, the snake is bound to feel cool.

A true cold reptile is stiff and slow-moving.

If you provide the correct temp range, your snake will find the temp he prefers.
