When I setting up my tank,,I seen those half rock things at Petco,,but thought the snake wouldn't get the privacy he's looking for with a "glass" wall on one side. The hides I do have are VERY private for my snake.I can't even tell which one hes in most of the time.

I thought the same thing when I was buying mine (rock hide) but I don't open it too often or for very long, and when I do open it Annie sometimes will poke her head up and look at me for a bit :eek1: and then go back to relaxing. It doesn't seem to bother her at all and seems to be her hide of choice.

Thanks.I'm trying to get some idea about where my snake should be,,by say next May or June. What is the normal,if there is one,,"rate" ?.I know when my sons beardie was young,he ate and grew at a very noticeable rate.I'm going to guess my snake is around 14" right now,but she's had a regurge or two so I think we're in a "holding pattern" for right now.Hopefully we'll be back on schedule in a week or so.

I've wondered about a normal growth rate myself, but having only one cornsnake I wouldn't be able to give you any sort of acurate estimation. Maybe one of the big breeders will chime in and say what they've noticed is normal for growth.

Here's ours. It's our first corn and we've only had him for a week so it's pretty basic.

And here is our new baby, Blaze enjoying the greenery.

Nice setup Derek. You must have a nice little one or I had a destructive one... he would have had those logs knocked out of place pretty fast :)

it seems that those sticks were made for this setup. all of the sticks, have certain dips, and pokey outys in the right spot, I also carved out a few sections to make them sit better.

and for one of them, i actually drilled a hole halfway through both pieces, and stuck a nail inbetween and it wont budge.

My snake isnt very big either, hes around 15-16 inches

My grapevines are held togethor with drywall screws. My creamsicle male is well over five feet, so his jungle gym better be supported. Screws are preferable to nails because nails may back out from the movement of the wood; screws won't do that.

Well, this is Severus's home. Actually, this picture is from the day he arrived. I was waiting to see if he'd come out of the cup on his own.

It's basically the same except that the hides are reversed now.
