Snake prices

I've been out of things since I moved a year and half ago due to dial up only at my new place..ugh. Got fast now so I've been looking up snake stuff. A while back I sold off some of my proven breeders. I had no what to ask for them since I couldn't search anything. I talked with a few local breeders that I found and they all said they sold males for $25 and females for $50. After looking up what I had online I think they sc%$wed me and it makes me sick right now thinking about it. Make me feel worse that I cried when a few of them left but I get attached to my snakes.
Now, that I can actually look info up that will not happen again!! I've even had one guy who would sell me the sex I didn't want before I was a pro at sexing them....that never happened again. Sorry for this turning into a venting session it just makes me sad and angry.

Sorry to hear it. But sometimes the price we pay for them can be more than what we'd get if we sold them. I have had snakes not sell at shows because of cheap competition, not everybody is into morphs and if they are looking for just pets they can go for the cheaper normal amel and anery morphs. It's all about finding the right market and being willing to keep them for a while if you don't get your price. I hate to see people get taken advantage of but at the same time it's not that hard to find out what a morph is worth, just look at a few breeders websites.

It was after I got access to the net again that I found out about a few that I sold. Oh well, I'm over it now.

Try not to worry too much, at least now you know better for the future. Looking back, I've done some hair brain things when it comes to snakes before I found this forum. I'm just glad I know now.
