hello i live in baltimore maryland im pretty new to snakes and im having trouble finding a good place for corns or really just any snakes/supllies in baltimore im willing to go for a bit of a drive and i was just wondering if anyone had any recomendations for a good store

On Eastern Blvd in Essex is a place called "Wet Pet & Reptile Center." Brian, the owner, is a very good guy and we have two or three snakes from him, all of whom are very healthy. Prices are inflated compared to shows, but still on line with pet store standards.

Just pulled these off the Yellow Pages :*)

I will add that WetPet...Brian's shop is not up to my standards of clean. He adult breeders (corns in particular) are cohabbed in cages that are far too small. *shrugs* But as we have seen here...not everyone believes that to be wrong.
His animals do thrive well and were healthy. He breeds the common corn morphs himself and has a breeder in florida ship him the more interesting stuff. I did get a baby golddust there for 99 bucks a year ago, who I now belive is a butter since zero black has appeared. (should do a poll post actually)
But anyway....he has good feeders and best prices on crickets in the area.

This was a surprise store. Very nice. Very well maintained. Good pet store prices *high but not crazy* We did not buy anything, but were impressed by how clean it was. Not a huge herp collection but some.

Been here...obvious by the name it's more of a fish store. But it has reptiles in the back....i don't remember being impressed.

Exotic Aquatics is another good one. small reptile collection...again more fish, but clean and bright and wonderful knowledgeable staff! It's on the northside of town off Perring Parkway!

Or just wait and go to the show in Havre De Grace once a month and save yourself some money!

i may try the show and i use to love exotic aquatics as i live about 5 miles away so its close but i think they lost their herp guy because they dnt know what they have latley and both the babies i got from their had mites i mean i got rid of em but its a pain in the...

That is unfortunate. They did have some nice animals for a while. I will say that it's been awhile since we have been.
Try Brian's at Wet Pet in Essex. It's only about another 15 mins down the road and pretty close to the beltway. You can zip right off and on again.

I do wish to extend one small bit of advice. Welcome to cornsnakes.com. I see you are very new. There are quite a few locals here on the forum. Hypancistrus and myself are partners, but there are also many others all within driving distance. Most of the forum members are adults and many are *cough* seasoned. *grin* Reading posts like yours rather hurts the eyes. Please try and remember that many people on the board use english as a second language *we have many overseas members* and using text-speak or a complete lack of punctuation is a definate turnoff. It does make it rather difficult to take someone seriously if in fact they are typing on the forum like a 14 year old texts! LOL!
So stick around. Learn alot. Make friends. Lauren and I almost always make it to the local shows and can point out good tips and the best places for healthy bargains!

Sure. The local show is once a month. There are more within driving distance as well. Check out the subforum for the mid-atlantic group here on this site for exact dates and locations.
