Snake watches Television??

I dunno if anyone else's snakes do this but when I switch the TV on Lily will come out of her hide and look through the glass of the sliding doors of her viv and stare at the TV for about 20-25 minutes and then go back into her hide.

She does it every time.

I don't if its the vibrations of the TV but its pretty cute seeing little head there LOL

Is Lily a corn snake?

I have a pair of Taiwan Beauties, and a pair of Jungle Carpet Pythons, that are very aware and watch everything that goes on in the room. I know if I look over my shoulder right now they will be sitting there staring at me type. The big snakes make you a little nervous sometimes because it looks like they are waiting for their chance to strike. "just a little bit closer".

My big guy use to seem to watch people/tv alot. He's in my bedroom now, in a spot where he can't see the tv (what happens when you move up to a 55gal tank.. you go where the tank will fit). But there have been more than one occassion when I woke up and found him seemingly watching me sleep :D

Yeah my snake seems to watch me play on the computer when I'm up late, and me getting ready for work when I work early in the morning. Other times its hit and miss if she is out.

i think they all have there favourite music or tv shows to watch. When i have metallica on my corn comes out of hiding and just listens right next to the glass, any other of my music and he doesn't care. odd

My snakes do the same thing. Though my corn does it much more often than my boa. The corn LOVES to watch the cats playing, that seems to draw her out of her hide more often than the computer or music playing. (it's almost like she wants to join. :p ) It just seems that they're curious little creatures. I like to think they're more aware of their surroundings than they let on.

Maximus would come out EVERYTIME I played Guitar Hero, but when I watched a movie or regular tv nope she wouldn't I think she is a ROCKSTAR.

funny i found this thread tonight my candy cane has a small hole in the side of his hide and i swear when the tv is on he will lay his head up on it resting his chin on the edge and watch the tv m not sure if hes acually watching it or not but thats sure what it looks like its really cute

My kingsnake Choco comes out as soon as the TV is turned on. She comes out for the vacuum, too.

One of my corns is in a big tub that sits on top of my rack, so that she's about eye-level if you sit at the desk.
She'll cruise around her tub all day, until someone sits down at the desk. Then she sits there and looks at you, right up against the plastic. And she won't move. She'll do it for hours. It's pretty keen.

My amber corn definitely watches TV any chance he gets. My lavender could care less what's going on the room. He just wants to hide and be left alone. LOL.

My amber corn will also come out every evening when I cook dinner. I guess he likes the way people food smells, because not only does he come out of his hide, he climbs to the top of his viv and flicks his tongue wildly. :)

My amber is particularly curious of his surroundings. He's always popping out to see what's going on and loves to sit back and watch a movie with me.

All of the people that have corns with distinct personalities make me jealous. My corn hasn't developed his own personality.

i watch CSI with zora all the time! his lil head pokes out from under the blankey, and if he's REALLY cold, he'll poke his head out from underneath my shirt!

yeah i have that, tho i dont watch tv. xerxes likes to sit in the corner nearest to the tv and watch me play Wii. but its interesting because whenever i watch a movie with my girlfriend he always likes to watch us, watch the movie. wierd......

me and my corn were watching the wild game tonight. i brought him up close to see what he would do and it almost looked like he was gonna strike at the puck when it would go by haha
