Snake will not eat!

Hello all,

I have had my corn snake for about 8 months now, and he is about 2 years old. He has eaten thawed out mice every single week for his entire life with no problems. He strikes very quickly, and very aggressively. He eats during any point of his shed cycle, and he is kept in a 6 by 4 foot tank (for about 7 months now).

We always feed him on Fridays, however last Friday was different. I wasn't able to acquire any mice from the pet store until they had the right ones in stock (all they had were rats...way too big for my little guy). Anyways, I was able to get them tonight (Tuesday) and so I attempted to feed him...

The second he came out of his little hiding spot we noticed the milkyness and coating over his eyes, which is fine he has never refused food in the past whilst shedding, but funny thing was...he wasn't striking, he was scared of the mouse.

My question is- when should I try again and could it be from the missed feeding on Friday?

Everything sounds completely normal. Missing a feeding is no big deal.
Most of my snakes don't eat when in blue once they reach adulthood. The snakes don't know their food is dead. In the wild, going after a food item while they are in blue could mean death to the snake.

I'd wait until he has shed to offer food.
