Snake's trauma recovery

I know I'm going to catch a lot of flak for this but here it goes...

My snakes terrarium is on top of the bar in my apt. I opened a beer and it sprayed the heat lamp... The cold beer on the heat lamp exploded the light bulb.

The snake is fine and physically unharmed but now he is VERY skiddish since it happened and honestly... It has made me more upset than you can possibly imagine.

How long until my snake trusts me again? I love the little guy.

(7-8 week old cornsnake) It looks a lot like the sunglow on Kathy Love's website. See the link.

Thank you for understanding

Yet another reason to use a UTH instead of a heat lamp...

But I'm glad the snake is ok, and I don't think they have a very long memory- so I'd just give him a little extra cuddling for a few days and I bet he will be just fine!

I agree. Just handle it as normal or maybe a little more and it will soon love you again lol
