Hey, sorry if ive done this totally wrong, im new! But was just looking for some advice really! My friend's had a corn snake for about two years now, the snakes called george and "he" is about 4ft long, my friends wanted another corn for a while now, and i was thinking of getting him one for christmas, but only if its ok to put the new one in with George (dont wana spend too much on my pal, in the way of new tank etc!) so yeh... would it be ok?? Or would George not be too happy about that??

I don't know...
But I feel that people are far too quick in using the "C" word(Cannibalism) when in truth it is an extreme rarity in cornsnakes.
It happened, for a certainty, but from what I saw, only to handful of people -at best-
California Kingsnakes are notorious cannibals... cornsnakes really are not.

Co-habitation has enough flaws that are a tad more likely than cannibalism and I feel it is better to list them rather than resort to the most extreme case- because it is -very very- rare.

Be it stress caused by competition over space, food and pretty much everything. If one snake is sick, the other one will be infected and so on and so forth.

I for one am not a huge fan of it, but I have done it for a couple of weeks due to lack of choice- it was not an immediate disaster.

If at all possible- avoid it. If you have no choice, than make sure its temporary. If you are of a different belief- that's your snakes and your call, but as you are asking for an advice, I feel that the one most people hold here is the right one to follow: avoid it.

Co habitation guarantees more potential for complications, complications that are better avoided and monitored by experienced snake keepers rather than beginners.

Just my opinion, not meant to really criticize.
