Some kind of Tessera

Might breed him to my Striped Butter in a couple of years

I think we might be onto something slightly different. Don's posted some similar stuff.

What did the above look like as a hatchling?

He's from last year, I didn't keep his older 1/2 brother from the year before, but maybe Jim (backafter30) can post a photo of him on here too. The only difference is some unexpressed hets. Jim also has a full sibling brother to this guy too.

In short he's a Caramel Motley Tessera het stripe and a few other things (as opposed to homo motley)

But he looked like this...

Chris,
Oh, I forgot that Solana (Solo1979) has one of these that is a full sibling to this one, I'll see if she has some more hatchling pictures to add too.

This is why I ask...2014 hatches from:

Flicker (het albino, caramel, hypo, stripe)

Chiquita (no known hets)

Thinking this is just a "normal" and not striped. Time will tell as the red fills in.

I'm highly intrigued by the non-defined striping of the assumed striped tesseras.

My god thats a beautiful snake

Just a good old Canadian Alberta girl 😝

Here are the relatives that I have. The smaller I got from gelshark, which he says is a '13 Motley Caramel Tessera, het for stripe, amel, possibly hypo and anery. The larger one is on loan from John Finsterwald (zorro), which is either a small '11 or large '12 Caramel Tessera Stripe, het. amel. He has grown considerably since this spring when I acquired him, and has really developed a nice overall golden color, which was fairly muted only a few months ago. I hope the little one that actually belongs to me grows up as pretty. (Unfortunately, I do not think I got any offspring from the older one this year. It was his first time, and he needed a Butter Stripe of mine to show him the ropes.)

Thanks Jim. The older one is a '12. He was an oinker and ate a pinkie before his first shed. I took him down to John when he was less than a week old. He really looks good. Anyway he has the same father as the other one, just a different mother.

Just fed my guy last night, so I'll leave him be for a bit and get some pictures later on this week. :)
