Speaking of puppy pics...

Shep151

Too busy to hang out.
I caved and let my wife have one.
He's the runt, and out of the litter, he looks the most like his dad.
He's only 5 weeks old, but was pulled early because the mother isn't tolerating nursing well, and he'd be the first to suffer. He had already started eating dry food, but we're supplementing heavily with a special "weaning" food, and he's doing great! (It's kind of a porridge stuff. Blech!)

Oh, and his name's Buster!

Now for the trick of it... Can anyone guess what he is? (He's a mutt, but only two breeds...) :crazy02:

Hes sooooooo cute!!! He has to have some lab in there and maybe some kind of cattle dog? lol im not sure but he sure is cute!

Im not really sure. He kind of reminds me of my neighbors dog which is a boston terrier. Well beautiful dog.

I'll guess he's a Jack Russell, Boston Terrier Mix.

:shrugs:

What a CUTIE!

Great guesses so far, and there are two close ones... but none are correct yet! :grin01:

I'm gonna say Pit Bull, Lab.. Or Lab and Boxer? I don't know.. My sister is the one into dogs after all.. I just like the cute yappy ones. ;)

The boxer is really clear in the eyes. Unmistakable in picture number 2. I didn't realize that boxer eyes were so obvious until we were playing this guessing game. Interesting. Good luck with the pup!

I'm betting you're right. Wowsers. That'll be one energetic dog!

Heh..... I had a dog who's mom was a Border Collie/Queensland mix and the father was a Boxer/German Shepard mix. That dog never got tired and was smart as all hell. Needless to say, she was to dog that couldn't be raised the way I had raised dogs before. She was the start of my "dog training days". ;)

Well I got in on this one late, was going to say boxer as well, glad to know I was right on that account. I'm going to say Boxer/Springer Spaniel. It's got a cute factor of 9.3!

I'm with Brent on this one - while I'd expect more feathering and curliness around the ears because of the Spaniel influence, I was reminded that he's only 5 weeks old. So, because of the trademark "masking" around the eyes and the ticking in the white, I'm gonna say Springer, too.

And yeah...."awwww". Will he be making the trip to Tinley?

jazz

Boxer and Border Collie?
Nice job, Carol!

And yes, even at 5 weeks old, he already plays very hard with the boys and cats! Right now it's only for 20 minutes or so, followed by a puppy feast and an hour or so nap, but shortly I'm sure he'll be tiring them out instead!

Nah, I won't be bringing him to Tinley. I considered it, but it would just be too much of a hassle for us, and there's a great place to board him just outside of town. I figure that'll be better for everyone. :)
