SpiritSerpents 2025 pairs

Only 2 pairs going this year but they're going to be really really nice!

Larune x Coal (0.1 onyx-line charcoal het hypo, motley 50% diffused, amel x 1.0 onyx-line charcoal masque het diffused 50% hypo, amel, lavender, anery) - This is my first year pairing two of my dark charcoals together. Coal is my darkest male, and Larune is only a little lighter in color than her mom was. I'm expecting some truly phenomenal babies out of these two. Also a chance for a lot of het proving. Best case scenario: I'll have a pile of onyx-line charcoals and pewters to sort through. "Worst" case scenario, I'll have dark phantoms and blizzards poking noses out of those eggs.

Athael x Coal (0.1 ultramel charcoal motley het anery x 1.0 onyx-line charcoal masque het diffused 50% hypo, amel, lavender, anery) - This is mostly het checking for Coal, for amel and anery though telling the carbons from the charcoals if there are any is going to give me a headache. If nothing else it will give me a chance to see if there's any particular inheritance pattern to the dark coloration of the onyx line. None of these babies are going to be holdbacks, as I do not need to add ultra into the possible het nonsense pile that I'm already dealing with. At minimum, and hopefully, I'll get nothing but a pile of charcoalls. Otherwise I might see charcoals, carbons, blizzards, ultramel charcoals, anery blizzards, and ultramel carbons.

Well, Larune proved out her diffused het and Coal proved his hypo!

Have a mix of dark babies, average babies, and that bright phantom nose.

Very cool! Great feeling when hets prove out.
Normally, yes. But that really like colored nose? It vanished? Like yes, there was a bright light on it... but *where did it go???*

I am *pretty sure* it is that baby against the edge of the bin on the bottom-right sides. That head is quite light compared to everyone else, and the snake is general is a fair bit lighter. But. Is this just a "normal" charcoal without the darkening trait? OR. Is this what an onyx phantom looks like, which would be amazing and absurd. Provided it eats, that one is probably a holdback as well, at least for a couple years.

I've got 6 babies that I'm going to be at least temporarily holding back. 5 of the darkest, and the one lightest, to see how they develop over the next 2 years.
This one though...

I'm fairly certain this one is going to permanent, provided it eats
