Here's a closeup: You can see that he managed to not spill a drop of water!!

And before you say it's because of lack of hides, here's a zoomed out pic of Marbles' enclosure!

Thanks for looking!!

How dare you not provide him with enough hides?!?!?! ;)

Thats too cute - they always pick the one place you don't make just for them...

Thanks for the replies, all!! I just thought it was so funny! Especially considering my boyfriend's nickname of "fatbutt" when talking about Marbles! I was amazed he could fit under there with just a little bit hanging out the side!

I peeked in right before bed last night and he was back in one of his regular hides and had managed to snake out from under the water bowl still without spilling a drop!!

My creamsicle does that too--in fact three of my snakes use their waterbowls for just that purpose. I actually don't use them for water in two of the cages, just as hides. They love those things!

Awww... how cute! Usually when a snake hides under the water bowl, even though there are additional hides, could be to tick you off, or it could just be because he wants a cool feeling on his skin. :D

That's so cute, McKenna! Hey, my dogs use those same dog bowls (the white ones). What did you use to carve out the openings? That's some really thick plastic. Cornelius has outgrown his hides, and those would be perfect.

Lori, My boyfriend had some thick meal cutters (just really really thick scissors) and he made just 2 cuts on each side and popped the space out. I then took sandpaper and sanded it so it was smooth, which didn't take very long at all.

My BP and my adult corn (who says hi to her Aunt Lori, by the way!) loves them because they are the perfect size for them to curl into and feel the sides all around and on top.

They're great because they're heavy enough to not move around too much and they are the easiest hides I have to clean because they're plastic and thick!

*Waves back my baby girl!!* :wavey:

McKenna, that's genius! Those will be absolutely perfect hides for my king and my adult corn! I can't wait!! Thank you!

DYK what else make a really good hide med-sized corns? Those maxwell house plastic tubs. I sawed one in half, and the handle spot makes a great entrance. I sanded it a bit as well, but they work great.
