Hey, I want to resterilize his wood hide since Ive had it for 2 years or so. What temperature should I stick it in the oven at?

At a temp in which the wood doesn't combust. ;)

About 225-250 will be sufficient, just stay close and watch it carefully. If you really want to be safe, just get a new log.

the only reason im not getting a new log is that there isnt really a reason. we havent had any critters or illness, just a crazy owner ;)
thanks for the info! ill try not to light my apartment on fire...

If it's not too big, you can wash it well with hot water and a mild soap and then while it's still wet, microwave it for 2-3 minutes. It will be steaming hot when you get it out, so be careful.

Thanks for the kitchen tips Martha S
