Day 63, got my first pip tonight! Super excited because I love the stripey babies! Pairing was a classic stripe poss het lavender x hypo lavender stripe, and this first pippy doesn't really look like a normal to me!

two more pips this morning but no time for a pic...second looks like this one but a tad lighter, third is still completely hidden! going to be a hard day at work!

Woo hoo more pics more pics!!! Lavenders are so pretty, I can't wait till mine are ready to breed.

Just got home, expecting at least the two to be out, but nope, they're taking their time! 5 total pippies now, 2 appear to lavenders, one is definitely a nice orangy normal, the other two have slits but their heads weren't out. Going to take a shower (I smell like horse!) and eat dinner then will get some pics.

Well, 6 noses now, no actual HATCHLINGS but hopefully by tomorrow! Sorry for the blurry pic. I think the second egg in the top row might be bad...doesn't look too bad in the pics, but seems awfully gooey on the underside; I'm just not sure if it's from his neighbor spilling goo, or if the egg has gone bad. Guess we'll see in a few days!

3 have emerged this morning! 2 lav stripes, one with a nice long stripe who just may be a keeper, and 1 normal stripe. the one who hasn't yet shown his head looks very light, and i'm guessing it's a lav too. Pippy pic looks very light compared to the other normals, and dad is homo hypo, but probably just variation. (keeping fingers crossed, but it does look much darker than my now grown hypo stripe did as a baby...she looked just like an amel except her eyes).

i'll have to post some more pics tomorrow. the first classic that came out was very dark, but the next one is much lighter, and the 2 peeking noses look lighter/redder rather than darker/browner. so i guess i'm wondering if they're hypos. will post a comparison pic tomorrow hopefully and get some opinions. one of the lavs is darker too, but i thought that might be gender variation?
