heys yous guys.

i just recently converted from aspen snake bedding, to "sunthing special" aspen bedding all natural.

the reason i switched is because the pet store dude said it wouldnt harm the snakes, and its like 100% cheaper.
only difference i notice is the color, and also the consistency of the product.

what do you guys think? anybody have any experience with this brand?

Um, so you switched from aspen to aspen? I don't see a problem.
 
Hey, now here is a somewhat related question. I have usually bought the kaytee pressed shredded aspen in the small bales. It's nice and clean, fairly finely shredded, basically it's what most people use.

Well I ordered in the exact same brand, same packaging but in the huge bale and it comes more in the shaving form than shredded. It doesn't look nice and bleached like the smaller stuff and it is aspen, even the same brand, but do you guys think it's makes much of a difference if I use this stuff till it's gone?

I don't think it will hold the tunnels quite as well, and I guess because the shavings are bigger they might not be quite as absorbant. I never feed in the tubs though, so I don't have to worry about substrate ingestion...

WHY IS IT SO MUCH TO ASK THAT THEY JUST USE THE SAME PRODUCT IN ALL SIZES WITH THE SAME PACKAGING?!?! CHEAP BASTARDS! LOL! :)

sounds like you went from aspen with a "name" on it to aspen from a "no-name" company...........still the same tree though. i say stay with it untill you see something possibly wrong, which i can't forsee happening. good luck with the change.
