Successful First Feeding

I had my first feeding tonight. I got my corn snake last Wednesday and let him adjust to his new home without any handling. Come today (Sunday, 5 days), I thawed out the pinky on top of his tank in a ziploc bag and then heated it up a bit with a blow drier. I put my snake in a 6qt sterilite with a deli cup and holes and simply put the pinky in there and closed the top. I put the sterilite in his tank and then closed that too. I gave him about 3 minutes in the dark with the food. He ate it right up! I was so happy. I then let him digest for a few minutes and opened his sterilite for him to crawl out. Once he crawled out, I took the sterilite away and he was on his way. Not once did he strike at me, which I am grateful for. I am so very pleased with his first feeding. he seemed hungry!! :)

Nice! Now try feeding him without covering it up so you can watch him eat.
